Is It Just Me or Does Time Get Away from You Too?

After both verbal and written prompts from my own personal cheerleading squad (read: husband and sister), I return to the blogosphere with photos and thoughts to share.  Mostly, photos though.  Thanks to my high school friend Jenn who let me shoot her kids (with a camera, folks) in the park one day.  What we thought was sure to be a rainy morning was perfect weather for splashing and playing.

Without further ado... meet Owen (3) and his twin sisters, Evan and Chloe (1).

It was fun to watch these kiddos interact with the envirnonment that they were in.  Once Chloe and Owen found the fountain, there wasn't much we could do to tear them away from it.  They were drenched!  Evan wanted nothing to do with and preferred carrying the osage oranges around.  However, once, I brought out the strawberries, we couldn't keep her away from them or from the camera!!

For My Sister (Well, Because She ASKED)

Meet Zoe and Sunshine - practically the easiest animals to photograph.  Ever.

Today's high: new photos of Zoe received RAVE reviews from the owner (great for my ego).  PLUS Lily the Five Year Old lost her tooth!

Today's low:  the ridiculous amount of TRIX cereal consumed this afternoon.  Don't ask.

The Plasma Television. Three Days Old. And Other Damage.

Some of you may recall that when we moved into Casa de Nokes, AT&T came out and in stalled our internet and cable connection.  During their VERY LONG VISIT, this is what they accomplished - the destruction of our home theatre, including the plasma television that we had owned for approximately three days.  Thank you, AT&T, for your kind welcome to the neighborhood.  We'll be sure to invite you over for dinner sometime to return the favor....

Today is the First Day of the Rest of My Life. And so is Tomorrow.

Today, my friend Caitlyn suggested that I start a blog.  "For your photos", she said.  Oh.  Hm.  So NOT for sharing my inmost secrets with the outside world.  NOT for that special little voice called the "inner monologue" (Ah, Zack Morris, you taught us well).

So today, I am starting a blog.  And it will mostly contain my photographs.  Sometimes, it might say what I've been doing.  And, as an added bonus, it might be funny.  (Very few sad things happen in my life, so if you are looking for a sad blog to read, this is not the place for you.)

Today's high:  a conversation with Lily the Five Year Old (during a discussion on dragons and What They Are).
Lily:  Have you ever seen a dragon?
Me:  No; they're like unicorns - they're imaginary.
Lily:  Oh man!  I wish unicorns were real!!

Today's low:  a diamond fell out of my wedding band.  Again.

Photos coming.  Soon.  Really.
